Description
The new pier consists of two separate structures: the first one, (Front building) is essentially a new-strictly connected part of the old “C Terminal” with many duty-free shops, while the second one (C pier) is mostly dedicated to boarding rooms and the baggage handling system. Structures are made in reinforced concrete (pile foundations and foundations), steel (columns and beams), with reinforced concrete floor slabs. Reinforced concrete security-staircase shafts are designed to absorb seismic effects through shock-transmitter devices (in C pier only), connecting them with the slabs of two main floors.
Value of structural works: € 50,400,000.00
